The first Dutch EXPO Dialogue, entitled ‘Sustainability as Key Driver for Innovation’, is a bilateral meeting between two longtime friends: Italy and the Netherlands.

The first EXPO Dialogue is introduced and chaired by Prof. Dr. Jan Peter Balkenende representing the Dutch organization Sustainable Growth Coalition (DSGC) of which he is President and to which eight Dutch multinationals have committed themselves. These companies, each, actively promote business models for sustainable growth.
At the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2012 the coalition was introduced for the first time. Shortly thereafter a manifesto was issued and in September 2012 DSGC presented Towards Sustainable Growth Business Models a publication meant to inform the general public on this issue.
This first Dialogue, entitled ‘Sustainability as Key Driver for Innovation’, is a bilateral meeting between two longtime friends: Italy and the Netherlands. Attendees are personally invited by the Commissioner General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Dutch Ambassador in Rome, the Dutch Consul-General in Milan, the DSGC (Dutch Sustainable Growth Coalition) and the Fondazione per lo sviluppo sostenibile (Sustainable Development Foundation, Rome).
