Rabobank is a Global leading Food & Agri bank. For this reason Rabobank is proud to host this Dialoque for invited clients during the World Expo Milano, with the theme ‘Building a smarter food system’.

A smarter food system is more productive, less wasteful, and more profitable. It is more efficient in using resources to deliver the food consumers need, making it more sustainable. Efficiency gains are needed on-farm and along supply chains, where we need to optimise our use of resources in producing food, reducing wastes and moving food from farm to fork.‎

Sounds too good to be true? It shouldn’t, because a smarter food system is within our grasp. It depends on four elements: new technologies, new management practices, new data flows, and new linkages along supply chains.

During the event Rabobank focuses on the importance of these four elements — technology, management practices, data flows and supply chain linkages — overall in creating a stable and sustainable food system, and specifically on-farm, along the supply chain and with consumers.

During an interactive stage program inspiring speakers will focus on how each of these elements can and is being used to build a smarter food system. The plenary session will be followed by in-debt round table discussions.
